Plants of the Prairie
Join us on a hike through Fernaldโs prairies as we learn about the prairieโs plants and their relationships with insects and other animals around them. This hike will cover unpaved ground, so please wear sturdy, comfortable shoes.

Damsels and Dragon(Flies)
There are many amazing insects in the world, and during the summer we most frequently see Odonates, which include dragonflies and damselflies. Join us as we search for these fast-flying insects around the preserve and learn how to identify them along the way. Preregistration is required. Space Race and the Moon
Alongside the Cincinnati Astronomical Society (CAS), join us as we discuss the impact of space projects on the United States and the Feed Materials Production Center during the Cold War. Later, attend a guest lecture from CAS on the Apollo missions, followed by the chance to head outside with some telescopes (weather permitting).
