Woodcock Watch Hike

Hosted by Fernald Preserve

Join us for the sights and sounds of spring as we listen for the “Peent! Peent! Peent!” of our twilight-dancing, feathered friends, the American woodcocks. The male woodcock’s acrobatic sky dance of upward spirals and downward swoops is a spectacular sight. The hike is about 1 to 2 miles. Preregistration is required.
