Access. Inclusivity. Launch Pad. These are words I associate with Green Umbrella and their work. I started with Green Umbrella as a student intern and now lead a partner nonprofit. My story wouldn't have been possible without support from Green Umbrella. I've seen how their staff weaves research, community priorities, and advocacy into action. Our region is a national leader thanks to all these fancy words and projects, however; it's the human element, the connections that Green Umbrella has fostered that allows us to move forward together. We're on a mission to save the world, right? We're moving the needle because of shared values and collective impact. I'm thankful to have Green Umbrella as a foundation for our movement.
Tanner Yess, Executive Director, Groundwork Ohio River Valley

“Green Umbrella impacts our organization by enriching academic, social, and emotional learning opportunities for students and teachers. The green spaces help foster diverse recreational and inclusionary possibilities aiding in mental and physical health for our CPS school community.”
Amanda Sheets, Manager of School Design and Implementation, Cincinnati Public Schools

Working with Green Umbrella has been a phenomenal experience. I have been introduced to both city wide and regional organizations that have broadened my resources, ideas and projects for my community. It's an awesome feeling to be supported and cheered on by a group of individuals with like minds on the same journey to save the world one neighborhood at a time!
Margaux Roberts, Bond Hill/Roselawn Climate Advisory Group Member

Leadership, community connections, and equity for all are the powers of Green Umbrella on our Aiken Agriculture Career Tech Pathway. Organizing “people with purpose” through Green Schoolyards, resilient food networks through the Farm and Land Use committee of the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council, and advocacy of the Farm Bill, Green Umbrella is leading the way!
