Ohio River Paddlefest Launch Party

Ohio River Paddlefest is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! To kick off celebrations leading up to the big day on Saturday, August 1, Paddlefest organizer and beneficiary Adventure Crew will host a free Paddlefest Launch Party on Friday, Feb. 20 at Cincinnati Public Radio, 2117 Dana Ave. in Evanston.

During the event, which runs from 5-9 p.m., attendees can get a sneak preview of Paddlefest’s music lineup thanks to free live music with Jake Speed & The Freddies, Ma Crow & Ripple Effect. Between sets, they can take a tour of Cincinnati Public Radio’s new facility.

It will also be the first opportunity to sign up for this historic Paddlefest, and for this one night only, registrants get 25 percent off your registration – the best rate of 2026! Organizers are aiming for a record number of paddlers this year, so you won’t want to miss it. Event attendees can sign up for the traditional 9-mile paddle or a half-distance (4.5-mile) paddle before registration opens to the general public.

Beer and food from Red Sesame food truck will be available for purchase during the event.
