Summits & Horizons

Join Adventure Crew for the nonprofit’s signature fall fundraiser, Summits & Horizons, on Thursday, October 15 at Memorial Hall. Attendees will be inspired by optimistic stories of wilderness, community and connection from long-distance canoeist Neal Moore and Adventure Crew teens.
Neal Moore is the author of two non-fiction books – “Down the Mississippi” and “Homelands: A Memoir” – plus numerous news articles. Major media outlets around the world covered his 7,500-mile, cross-continent canoe expedition from the Pacific to the Statue of Liberty, with some dubbing him “the modern-day Huckleberry Finn.”
The evening kicks off with a 5 p.m. early admission for “optimist” ticket holders ($100). Social hour for general admission ticket holders ($70) starts at 5:30 p.m. The program, which features Crew teens, Neal Moore’s keynote and a paddle raise auction, begins at 6:30 p.m.
