Pruning Blitz

Join The Common Orchard Project for our annual Winter Pruning Blitz! This collaborative event brings together volunteers from across the region to learn hands-on pruning techniques while caring for community orchards in Walnut Hills, East End, North Side, and Colerain.

We’ll start the morning with a demonstration at the Melrose Orchard in Walnut Hills then split into crews led by experienced pruners to work at multiple orchards throughout the day. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about fruit tree care, meeting fellow orchard enthusiasts, and potentially joining our orchard stewardship program.

All tools and safety equipment provided. No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and dress for the weather!

Please bring: Your own pruning shears if you have them, and any other pruning tools you’d like to use. Additional equipment will be available.
