Experience the farm through the this centuries old practice of observing the natural world through drawing & writing. Bring your curiosity!
Unwind and connect with nature through this relaxing and enjoyable process of documenting the natural world using sketches, poems, and notes. Participants will learn new ways to look at the wonders of nature around them; truly noticing instead of simply seeing.
This class offers the opportunity to slow down and enhance curiosity as you record your observations. No artistic skill needed!
Taught by Ellen Foley, who’s love of the land inspires her to create opportunities for others to experience connecting with nature. Ellen is excited about introducing this practice to groups at Gorman Heritage Farm. She has a B.A. in psychology, a masterโs in landscape architecture and is a certified Forest Therapy Guide.
Recommended for participants 16 years and older. Limited Space
Materials provided: Clipboards, paper, and pencils are provided along with a foldable chair. you can bring your own materials too.
