Michelle Balz Compost Talk and book signing

Renowned local author and compost expert Michelle Balz will be talking and signing her two how-to books: No-Waste Compost, and Composting for a New Generation.

The June 28th event is sponsored by Sidestreams at their Peace Garden located at 6200 Desmond Ave. in Madisonville.
Books will be available for sale at 5 pm, with Ms. Balz speaking at 6 pm. There will also be a raffle for free books.

The same people that brought you the 500 Gardens and 500 Chickens programs are starting a 500 Composters program to encourage food waste recycling and soil enrichment. Come find out what kind of compost system would work for you.

The talk and book signing will be followed by our monthly bonfire at the firepit near the chicken coop. Oreo smores!
