Meet A Greenspace Hike: Forestlake to Eight Mile Greenway

Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance and Anderson Township Staff for a Meet A Greenspace Hike exploring the Forestlake Drive to Eight Mile Road Greenway.

The hike is planned for 3:00 – 4:30, Wednesday, July 22nd.

We will meet at the northern end of Forestlake Drive in Anderson Township (Address: 2253 Forestlake Dr., Cincinnati, OH, 45244). Please only park on the west side of Forestlake Drive and avoid parking in the cul-de-sac.

The hike will be a moderate to strenuous out-and-back 1.6-mile hike. There are no steep sections except for a stream crossing with a high bank. About 1,000 feet of the hike will be in a creek bed with up to 8 inches of water, depending on weather conditions*. Please dress appropriately, bring water, and snacks (if you need them). This will be an opportunity to learn about the Greenway, Anderson Township’s Greenspace program, and brainstorm about the future of this corridor!

*Please note that much of this hike is a creek walk with slippery rocks and flowing water. Appropriate footwear is recommended, and trekking poles may be beneficial for balance. Please consider the risks of this type of terrain when deciding whether to participate.
