Listening to and Engaging Communities Working Group (2024 Q1)

Join Green Umbrella for the inaugural Listening to and Engaging Communities Working Group meeting!

This group is dedicated to:

• Centering resident voice, experience, and expertise in local government and community plans, projects, programs, and policies
• Engaging communities of color, low-income community members, youth, and the elderly through the Climate Safe Neighborhoods Partnership

Any local government, nonprofit, educational institution, or educational institution from within Green Umbrella’s 10-county region is welcome to attend this first session. For following sessions, to attend working group meetings will require at least a Participating Level Green Umbrella Membership (free for governments, nonprofits, and educational institutions, and scholarship opportunities for other membership levels). This Working Group is co-led by Kelsey Hawkins-Johnson, the Community and Climate Resilience Program Director at Groundwork Ohio River Valley.
