Know Your Invasive Species Series: Winter Creeper

Join us for a fun habitat restoration event at Bender Mountain Nature Preserve on Sunday, October 27th from 1:30-3:00 pm. In honor of Halloween, we will be focusing on Winter Creeper. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about its origins, ecology, and how to identify and control it. During the event, we will be pulling winter creeper vines out of the ground and off of trees. Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for the woods and the weather. We will provide the necessary tools and supplies. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle, snacks, sun protection, bug spray, and any other personal items you might need. We will meet at the Darby Cemetery, and parking is available at the Delhi Post-Acute Center located at 5999 Delhi Rd.
