FREE Family Outdoor Activity Day on 5/4

The Izaak Walton League, Mt. Healthy Chapter is excited to offer a FREE family friendly event with FUN, outdoor active learning on Saturday, May 4. Practice your fishing and archery skills, discover the fun of searching for a hidden geocache, learn about the fascinating adaptations of local wildlife, tour the self-guided “Under Your Feet” soil themed mobile trailer, try your hand at fire building including using flint and steel, venture on a nature scavenger hunt and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

There are two sessions for this activity day, each lasting 2.5 hours. Please only sign up for ONE of the session times most suitable for your family. There is a maximum of 4 individuals per family.

The AM Session from 9:00 – 11:30am is for families with children ages 10 and up. Activities will be more challenging such as fly fishing and fly tying, campfire cooking and 3D archery. The PM Session from 1:00 – 3:30pm is for families with children ages 6 and up. Activities will be easier to learn such as rod and reel fishing, fire building demos with smores as a treat and an inflatable archery station with nerf arrows.

Each family receives a swag bag filled with an ODNR pocket guide on local wildflowers or wildlife, wildflower seed packets, information on IWLA upcoming events and membership PLUS snacks to enjoy at home.
