Foraged Crafting: Vegetable Baskets at Long Branch Farm and Trails

Registration Requirements: Preregistration required.
Intended Audience: This program is designed for adults.
Program Description: In this beginner weaving class, we’ll get our hands on native willows and create a rustic and useful vegetable basket. We’ll use simple weaving techniques to form an open weave, perfect for storing garlic, onions, or other shelf-stable vegetables.
What to Expect: This hands-on class will include a short stroll out to our willow copse.
This program is entirely outdoors.
Restrooms are available throughout the program.
Trails/areas used during this program are rated as easy (mild hills, gravel trails) for a planned distance of less than 1 mile at a slow pace.
Program runs rain or shine.
What to Bring: Water bottle and pruners if you have them.
What to Wear: This program has the potential to get a little messy—attendees are encouraged to wear old clothes.

Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission and all project materials.
