Food Policy Council & Committee Informational Webinar

December 18, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Are you a food systems leader or advocate with demonstrated expertise in food systems work? Do you live or work in the Greater Cincinnati Region? Do you want to be a part of advancing a socially, economically, and environmentally resilient regional food system? We have opened both our Food Policy Council Members application and our Policy, Education, and Advocacy Committee application! Both are exciting opportunities to engage in meaningful food systems work in our region!

We will be holding an informational webinar on December 18, 2025 at 11am, where we will provide a high level overview of both opportunities and we will allocate the last 30 minutes to Q&A.

Food Policy Council Members
We are looking to expand and engage new members on the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council (GCRFPC). We are seeking diverse applicants with varying perspectives, experiences, and representation across our regional food system! This includes across sectoral representation, demographic diversity, geographical and community representation, and other unique perspectives or lived experiences.

The GCRFPC is a cross-sector collaborative of food system experts and advocates working together to advance an environmentally, socially, and economically resilient regional food system through policy and systems level work. The Council operates by building collaborative networks, increasing capacity through technical assistance and funding, amplifying stories of food system transformation, and advocating for policy changes.

Projects the council pursue include convening food systems leaders, advocating for resilient regional food policy with decision-makers, analyzing data to inform action and anticipate trends, and supporting farm-to-institution supply chains that prioritize community nutrition while benefiting local businesses and reducing emissions.

The Policy, Education, and Advocacy Committee
Additionally, we are also opening applications for our Policy, Education, and Advocacy Committee (PEA). You do not have to be on the council to apply for the committee! This committee will serve as a crucial bridge between the GCRFPC’s strategic priorities and actionable change in the community. They will conduct local policy research, build and support advocacy campaigns, and help lead community education and engagement efforts. The Committee focuses on four priority policy areas:

  • Farms and Land Use
  • Access and Education
  • Infrastructure
  • Institutions
