Early Fall Migrant Shorebirds & Waders – Bird Walk

Beat the August heat, and join Oxbow, Inc. for an evening bird walk!

The southbound fall migration of shorebirds (sandpipers & plovers), long-legged waders (herons & egrets) and several other species will be well under way by this date. It is also a great time of year to sometimes find an unusual or rare species such as the Little Blue Heron and Snowy Egret at the Oxbow Nature Conservancy. Birds such as Purple Martins and other migrating swallows stage in large numbers at the preserve during August, so we expect to see a diverse array of bird species. You don’t want to miss it!

Join us as Oxbow, Inc. board member and skilled naturalist, Jack Stenger, leads the group through the Oxbow Nature Conservancy during this exciting evening trip.
