
Climate Action 101 Workshop

All Green Umbrella members are invited to participate in a Climate Action 101 training!
Are you a local government trying to figure out how to tackle sustainability issues in your community?
Or a business grappling with identifying corporate sustainability strategies?
Or a nonprofit trying to engage communities and incorporate sustainability into your activities?
Or a school wanting to improve campus operations and get students activated on climate issues?
Join us for this 101 session to learn how to get started with important parts of your climate action journey including:
- Internal Governance and Leadership
- Funding and Budgeting
- Community Engagement
- Collaboration with Partners
- Data and Reporting
During this training you will also learn:
- How is climate change impacting Greater Cincinnati right now and what to expect in the future
- History of local climate work in Greater Cincinnati
- Status of state and federal climate action
- How to align local efforts with regional, state, and national actions and funding
- Opportunities for collaboration across communities
- Global considerations
The session will include with a guest presentation sharing a case study and activity to help participants to assess where they are on their climate action journey, what are barriers and enablers for action in your organization/community, and best next steps to help accelerate progress.
