The neighborhoods of South Fairmount, North Fairmount, Millvale, English Woods, and South Cumminsville are collaborating as the Beekman Street Corridor Coalition to improve quality of life in our communities. We are hosting pilot farmers markets this winter at different locations and will plan recurring markets in the spring. The first event is Saturday November 18, 1-3 at the North Fairmount Family Center 1769 Carll Street.
This market is designed to both provide access to healthy locally produced food and to give neighborhood makers and bakers an opportunity to trial entrepreneurship. Our regional foodbank is purchasing food from local farmers through the OhioCan program for free distribution at the event. Neighborhood vendors will sell baked goods, hand made jewelry, knit items, customized clothing, ornaments, and more.
Please stop by to support our early endeavors toward a healthy local economy.
