Meet A Greenspace Hike with Oxbow Nature Conservancy

Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance and the Oxbow Nature Conservancy for a Meet A Greenspace Hike on Friday, October 24th, from 3-4:30 pm!

Located in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the Oxbow is a refuge for both wildlife and humans, providing prime habitat for migrating birds and fish populations, while also preserving the character and rich natural landscape for people to enjoy. Please dress accordingly, wear proper hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water.

The hike will be on predominantly flat, unpaved trails and cover 1-1.5 miles.

We will meet in the upper parking lot area, which can be found in two ways: 

• By going south on US Hwy 50 from the I-275 #16 exit. In ~200 yards, turn left (east) at the edge of the Circle K (between Circle K and the Waffle House) and go over the levee to where the road T’s with a fence directly in front of you. Turn right and go to the Oxbow entrance sign. Turn left into the Oxbow. The upper parking area is immediately on the right.
• Using Google Maps and searching for “Oxbow Nature Conservancy”.
