Flower-A-Thon Kickoff

Celebrate the arrival of spring at our annual Flower-A-Thon at Western Wildlife Corridor! This week-long community event invites you to explore our preserves, discover native wildflowers, and experience the beauty of spring.
We’ll start the day with a light breakfast, giving everyone a chance to meet fellow nature lovers before the week’s wildflower adventures begin. At the opening event, participants will receive species lists and preserve maps, learn how the Flower-A-Thon works, and get an overview of the guidelines for the week.
We’ll also offer an introduction to using iNaturalist to document your wildflower sightings, along with practical tips for spotting and identifying blooms along the trail. Throughout the week, you’ll have opportunities to join guided hikes across our preserves, connect with others, and see how many different species you can find.
Whether you’re a seasoned botanist or simply enjoy being outdoors, the Flower-A-Thon is a fun and meaningful way to celebrate spring while supporting habitat conservation in the Western Wildlife Corridor.
