Clean Rivers, Resilient Communities Workshop

The Clean Rivers, Resilience Communities Workshop, hosted by American Rivers and Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance, will bring together community partners, government representatives, and conservation professionals for a one-day workshop to explore how collaboration can remove roadblocks, unlock funding, and bring projects to life that improve water quality, reduce flood risks, and build community resilience. Participants will have the opportunity to
- Network with fellow participants
- Share on-the-ground challenges with water-related projects/flooding issues and engage in real-time problem solving
- Explore opportunities to reconnect rivers through an interactive dam removal activity
- Participate in an interactive session on overcoming project hurdles
- Learn about resources available to communities interested in improving water quality, enhancing community access, supporting local economies, and advancing shared stormwater and watershed goals
This event is for community partners, local/state government representatives (mayors, community council members, commissioners, etc.), and conservation professionals interested in collaborative pathways to watershed health.
