In honor of Soil Health Week, join us at Camp Washington Perennial Farm for our “Bring Your Own Bucket” fall compost sale! This 2-hour event offers high-quality compost produced on-site by the Common Orchard Project, perfect for putting your gardens to bed for the winter, along with essential education on the composting process. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own buckets to purchase compost by volume ($8), with bagged compost also available for sale ($10). Learn how to properly prepare your garden for winter using our nutrient-rich compost. Our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to explain composting and answer your fall gardening questions.

The Cincinnati Nature Center broke ground on a new $3.6M construction project with its first new building in more than 50 years. The project includes developing a Center for Conservation Field Station at the Long Branch Farm and Trails location in Clermont County. The new facility is expected to open fall 2025.

This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a thriving, productive schoolyard garden to support the education and local food donation needs of the nonprofit’s program. |

The ideal candidate will have horticulture skills and the ability to work well with and guide others. This is an independent contract position averaging 40 hours/month annually with weekly hours flexing to changing demands across the growing season. Planning work typically begins February with fall cleanup mid November. |
