Green Umbrella selected the cities of Oxford, Covington, and Milford to participate in its Climate Action Fellowship Program this summer. “There's not nearly enough coordinated climate action happening right now in our communities,” Savannah Sullivan, Senior Director of Programs & Climate Strategy for the Green Umbrella, told WVXU. “That's where Green Umbrella comes in, to help way-find and then support these governments in reaching those goals, and not only goals within their individual jurisdiction, but collaborating together.” Learn more here.

| Thank You & Farewell to Diana, Leah, and Mitch! |
This month, we bid farewell to three people who have made a huge impact in their tenure at Green Umbrella: Assistant Events Coordinator Diana Garcia and Climate Health Fellows Leah Ross and Mitch Singstock. |
Diana joined the Green Umbrella team to support the Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit in 2024. It was our largest Summit in its decade-long history, and her work was both instrumental in creating a successful conference and in setting up her next position: Capitol Hill Ocean Week Manager for the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.
As University of Cincinnati medical students, Leah and Mitch helped develop materials to spotlight Green Umbrella’s Climate Health Equity report. Their contributions continue to inform the Climate Health Equity Webinar series, a monthly discussion on health and wellness issues linked to climate change.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Diana, Leah, and Mitch for their work and impact! |
