Roots & Rhythms is a celebration of that shared commitment and the momentum growing across Greater Cincinnati. \nThe evening will feature inspiring stories\, live screen-printing\, and an incredible lineup of regional talent: \n \nMa Crow and Co. – A dynamic five-piece bluegrass band weaving together bluegrass\, country\, blues\, and early 20th-century roots influences into a high-energy\, foot-stomping sound. \nPork City Slim – Delivering traditional acoustic blues with a soulful Americana edge\, blending blues\, soul\, and timeless storytelling. \nGet Down River – A rich Americana mix of bluegrass\, alt-country\, folk\, outlaw country\, and traditional country — music that feels grounded in place and full of heart. \nThroughout the evening\, you’ll enjoy live music\, connection with fellow climate champions\, and the opportunity to directly support Green Umbrella’s work advancing climate resilience and sustainability across Greater Cincinnati. \nWhether you’re a longtime supporter or new to our community\, this is your chance to celebrate Earth Month in a way that is joyful\, energizing\, and rooted in hope. \nLet’s come together — in rhythm and purpose — for the future we’re building.

DESCRIPTION:For one year Robin Greenfield is foraging every bite of his food and medicine. A year without grocery stores\, restaurants\, pharmacies or even a garden. “Nature” is his garden! \nIs it possible to eat in harmony with Earth and live in reciprocity? Robin wholeheartedly believes so and is putting this love and devotion for Earth into bold action as he harvests the food and medicine that is growing freely and abundantly all around us \nHe is traveling to our community to share his foraging journey and celebrate the individuals and organizations in our community working for a more resilient\, local food system. He will also share about the newly launched 1 Million Community Fruit Trees Initiative and invite us to get involved in this grassroots collaborative effort in food sovereignty. \nWhile many of us are in great despair over our current social\, political and environmental crises\, this is a call to bold action. Now is the time to embrace community\, build local resiliency\, grow our relationships and develop our skills. SUMMARY:Cultivate + Connect: A Celebration of Our Regional Food System
DESCRIPTION:Join Green Umbrella for an evening of connection\, storytelling\, and celebration of our region’s food system champions. \nResilient and equitable food systems are the foundation of a thriving community. For 14 years\, we’ve been bringing stakeholders together from across the food system to collaborate and strengthen food production\, distribution\, and access – farmers\, institutions\, restaurants\, grocery stores\, farmers markets\, schools\, chefs\, food rescuers\, advocates\, volunteers\, and of course\, consumers! \nOur community has achieved so much – and we’re thrilled to host this new event to bring everyone together\, highlight the incredible work of our partners and community leaders who work tirelessly to cultivate connections and resources\, educate decision makers\, eliminate food deserts\, support local farmers\, create community orchards\, and get fresh\, local food into our schools and neighborhoods. \nThe evening will feature delicious food from a variety of local businesses and each attendee will receive two drink tickets. Thank you to Urban Artifact for hosting us in their beautiful event space\, The Reliquary. \nAll proceeds and donations will support Green Umbrella’s food system programs – the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council and the Common Orchard Project.
