DESCRIPTION:Green Umbrella invites you to our April Green Drinks. This month\, we are thrilled to partner with the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden – the Greenest Zoo in America®! Join us for drinks\, networking\, and a presentation – then enjoy their Earth Day Tunes & Blooms celebration! \nGreen Drinks attendees will have an opportunity to see the new Elephant Trek and hear from zoo staff about their latest sustainability projects\, which include: \n\nTheir new five-acre elephant habitat that features a million-gallon capacity stormwater tanks – and their goal to be net zero in water consumption!\nTheir new hydroponics system that has grown more than 8\,000 pounds of produce – enough to supply the giraffe feeding program!\nTheir new 2.8 MW solar array – which boosts their on-site electricity generation to about ⅔ of all their electricity needs!\nInspiring community solar projects and zero waste events!\n\nThe zoo is open to the public\, but we have limited space available for the exclusive Green Drinks program. Please register to secure your spot (and to receive more details as we get closer to the event). \nThe program will run from 5:15-6:00\, after which we will head over to join the Earth Day Celebration\, featuring: \n\nInteractive stations hosted by their Horticulture\, Sustainability\, Conservation Impact\, and Education teams\, where you can learn how the Zoo helps the planet through hands-on activities and demonstrations.\nLive music by My Brother’s Keeper\nBeautiful spring blooms\nGreat food and drink (for purchase)\n\nAdmission is free after 5pm (but parking is $10). Equity is reflected in LEED through revisions to intents\, incorporation of equity questions into the integrative process credit and the development of new pilot credits. \nWith this top of mind\, our Thought Leadership Panel will challenge you to think differently about the application of equity in all aspects of your life.
