SUMMARY:Meet A Greenspace Hike: Spring Ephemeral Series Part One at Buckeye Trace Nature Preserve!
DESCRIPTION:Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance and Western Wildlife Corridor for part one of a two-part Meet A Greenspace Hike: Spring Ephemeral Series on Thursday\, March 26th\, from 3-4:30 pm at Buckeye Trace! (Register here for part two!) \nBuckeye Trace is a 20 acre preserve hugging the hillside of Sayler Park. During the springtime\, it is home to an array of wildflowers known as spring ephemerals. These miniature forest blooms can be found for a limited time along the forest floor in the window of warmth and sunlight before trees and shrubs put out their leaves. \nThe hike will be an easy to moderate 0.75-mile hike\, with some hilly and strenuous sections. Please dress appropriately\, bring water\, and snacks (if you need them). \nParking is located in a gravel parking lot on site at 6438-6466 Hillside Ave.\, Cincinnati\, Ohio\, 45233. SUMMARY:Spring Wildflower Walk - Buckeye Trace Nature Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Spring is here and so are the wildflowers. Western Wildlife Corridor is offering a series of free guided wildflower walks at our preserves which have some of the most spectacular native wildflowers in the region. You could see Cut-Leaved Toothwort\, Sessile and Drooping Trillium\, Wild Ginger\, Woodland Poppy\, Blue-Eyed Mary\, Greek Valerian\, Dutchman’s Breeches\, Wild Hyacinth\, Miami Mist\, Fernleaf Phacelia\, and many more. In addition to wildflowers\, our native trees and shrubs will be leafing out among an abundance of wildlife. Please dress for the weather\, we will meet light rain or shine. The trails are of moderate difficulty and can be slippery when wet. Free event\, but RSVP required due to limited space.
