Green Umbrella Seeking Communications & Program Manager 

Green Umbrella is hiring! After 3+ years on the job, Amy Yokel will be leaving Green Umbrella to pursue new opportunities in the science world. We wish her well and are now seeking someone to fill her shoes. You can view the position description here; applications are due by August 3 to Green Umbrella with a start date of late August.

Green Umbrella, in partnership with Great Parks of Hamilton County, hosted the 12th annual Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo at Winton Woods on July 14. Thousands of our region's children came out to climb, fish, dig for fossils, ride a bike and much more! Our thanks to all involved, especially 40+ volunteers from GU member Duke Energy! REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Greater Cincinnati Foundation. The Greater Cincinnati Foundation recently announced changes to its grantmaking process to align with its new Community Impact Strategy. They are replacing their traditional Spring and Fall Grantmaking cycles with programs aligned to the two areas of strategic focus and a new targeted Request for Proposal (RFP) process. In addition, they also have a Funding Inquiry form as an easy entry portal for them to understand how your idea might match GCF resources.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY: SVP Cincinnati. Social Venture Partners Cincinnati invites area nonprofits to apply for two grant opportunities through one application. The focus area for both is Social Innovation. The combined application is now available and due on July 31 (by midnight).

GRANT OPPORTUNITY: Duke Energy Foundation. The Duke Energy Foundation actively works to strengthen the quality of life in the communities they serve. They fund programs that support Duke Energy's philanthropic strategies, including the environment. The application period for environment grants takes place July - August.
