Celebrate Bike Month with Tri-State Trails!

People all over the tri-state are celebrating National Bike Month with special bike events throughout May. From happy hours to themed bike rides to film screenings, there are fun opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Celebrate Bike Month with Tri-State Trails at Green Drinks on May 9 at Listermann Brewing Company right off the future Wasson Way trail! At 5:45 PM Tri-State Trails will lead a 15-minute hike of the CROWN route that will connect Wasson Way to Uptown. Join us each Sunday in May for biking trips across the region as we Ride the CROWN!

Keep the Earth Day Momentum Going

Whether you completed activities as part of the Year of Living Sustainably's Earth Month EcoChallenge, attended one of our area's Earth Day celebrations or made a personal commitment to be a better steward of our planet, we encourage you to keep it going. Here at Green Umbrella, we're committed to driving collaboration among local government, institutions, businesses small and large and concerned citizens to find solutions to our region's most pressing environmental challenges. Join us and commit to making this region the most sustainable in the country by donating, joining an action team or getting involved with one of our member organizations!

Action Teams

Action Teams bring together people and organizations who share common goals around environmental issue areas. Teams implement strategies to drive progress on our 2020 GoalsGreen Umbrella also has three Initiatives: Tri-State Trails, the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council, and the Cincinnati 2030 District.

Initiative Spotlight: What's New With Tri-State Trails?

Tri-State Trails is an initiative of Green Umbrella working to connect and expand the multi-use trail system in the region. In 2019, Tri-State Trails has been advocating for funding to build out the Wasson Way corridor and extend it to Uptown as called for in our CROWN plan and leading Connect NKY, a tactical urbanism project in Newport, Kentucky. On top of that, Tri-State Trails is in its last year of operating support from Interact for Health. Help to continue our efforts by making a donation to Green Umbrella and noting "Tri-State Trails" in the comment box.
