5/3 Bank Contracts for 100% Solar Power

Cincinnati-based 5/3 Bank is the first Fortune 500 company and first bank to contract for 100% solar power. Fifth Third’s contract will be used to build a new 80 MW solar generation facility in North Carolina that will generate as much electricity as the bank uses in a year. The project broke ground on Monday and is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. Green Umbrella is proud to have 5/3 as an active member and hopes that other regional companies will follow in its footsteps! More information is available at 5/3's sustainability website.
