Ohio River Foundation Programs Reach Thousands of Students

Did you know that Ohio River Foundation's education programs reach over 5,000 students a year? Among their in-class offerings, the Mussels in the Classroom program teaches kids about the important role of freshwater mussels to local aquatic ecosystems. Students have the opportunity to care for the mussels for two to five weeks alongside optional activities and lesson plans.

The popular River Explorer program is a hands-on, activity-based learning experience along the rivers, streams and creeks of the Ohio River watershed. Students climb into rivers to study fish, macro-invertebrates, and water quality. Learn more about the Ohio River Foundation's education and restoration programs.

2020 Green Home Tours Begin This Weekend

Want to learn more about high performance homes? The US Green Building Council hosts tours of sustainably built, LEED certified homes throughout the year.

Join them January 11 for a free tour of a riverfront LEED Platinum home currently for sale. Learn more.
