Sustainability Summit Includes Women-Led Plenary Panel

In celebration of Women's History Month, we're thrilled to announce our all-women plenary panel for the upcoming Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit on May 12. Peyton Siler-Jones (National League of Cities), Edith Makra (Metropolitan Mayors Caucus), and Paula Brooks (Hoosier Environmental Council) will join our keynote speaker, Dr. Katherine Wilkinson, to discuss climate action and possibility at the neighborhood, metro, and national levels. The conference will also feature a roundtable discussion with Cincinnati Councilmembers Meeka Owens and Liz Keating, and Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus. Join Green Umbrella and sustainability leaders from across the region for our April Green Drinks happy hour at Urban Artifact. Invite your colleagues, friends, and family to an informal evening of networking as we celebrate Earth month!
Green Drinks is Green Umbrella's monthly social event that provides an opportunity to network with sustainability leaders across the region. This free event is open to anyone interested in climate action issues and getting involved in local sustainability initiatives.

The Cincinnati 2030 District invites anyone interested in solar to participate in this exciting opportunity to learn about the latest in solar technologies. Join us as we hear from experts across the solar industry and connect with leaders in our community implementing solar at a variety of scales.
Participants interested in getting a cost estimate for their building or business can bring a recent utility bill for that address showing 12 months of electricity usage.

U.S. Green Building Council is hosting Toolbox of Solutions: Decarbonization+ LEED Summit April 5-6. Explore the ways LEED supports decarbonization while looking toward innovations to propel us into a carbon free world.
The Ohio Environmental Council is hosting an Ohio Energy Law & Policy Primer for attorneys on April 12. This session will help unwind the complex web of laws, regulations, and administrative decisions. Attending attorneys will receive 1.5 CLE credit hours.
U.S. Green Building Council is offering an online exam prep class for those looking to earn their LEED Green Associate Exam credential. All four classes will be via Zoom on Wednesdays between April 19 and May 10.
The 2023 REBUILD Conference is creating a thoughtful discussion around sustainability within the built environment and is looking for leaders to present insights, case studies, and new technologies at the conference. Apply to speak at the conference here by May 5.
OKI Regional Council of Governments is asking for input to help partners identify areas with high transportation needs that are disconnected from transit services. The results will identify unserved and underserved areas in terms of access to job hubs via transit.
