Green Umbrella Welcomes Anna Parnigoni as Communications Lead

Green Umbrella is excited to welcome Anna Parnigoni as our new Communications Lead. Anna joins our expanding core operations team and will oversee communications across our programs in addition to acting as point-of-contact for media and press. With a background in community relations, strategic project management and writing, Anna is excited to share Green Umbrella’s story and help promote the important sustainability work happening across our region. She will work closely with our program directors as well as former Communications Director, Charlie Gonzalez, who is transitioning to focus on coordinating our events and building member relations. Get Hands-On Experience During Our Fruit Tree Pruning Blitz Weekend

Common Orchard Project invites you to take part in a Pruning Blitz this Saturday and Sunday! This is a FREE hands-on opportunity to learn about or practice fruit tree pruning skills with fellow orchardists and community gardeners. Beginners and veterans are all welcome! Join us on either Saturday, March 5th beginning in the East End or Sunday, March 6th starting in Camp Washington. Both events start at 10:00 am with an optional training session, followed by two hours of pruning out in the surrounding community. Please be prompt as we will be leaving from the initial site by 11:15. Learn more details here.
