Spotlights from this year's Sustainability Summit

Strategies for Climate Action on the Path to 2030

There's still time to register for the 2021 Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit, featuring 3 days with nearly 100 speakers. The event kicks off tomorrow, May 12!

We are thrilled to have author, professor, and climate policy expert, Joan Fitzgerald as our keynote speaker. Joan's work centers around urban climate action and strategies for linking it to equity, economic development, and innovation. Her talk will focus on how cities can recover from COVID equitably while making environmental advances. Check out this week's interview on Cincinnati Edition.

Visioning a Transformation of the Midwest

What could a transformation of the Midwest look like with climate actions that invest in communities and infrastructure?

Thursday's plenary panel will feature White House Senior Advisor for Climate Policy & Innovation, Sonia Aggarwal, Groundwork USA Capacity Building Director, Cate Mingoya, Steel Valley Authority Executive Director, Tom Croft, Indiana University's Sanya Carley, and our keynote, Joan Fitzgerald.

Join us in visioning the potential growth in quality jobs, improved infrastructure, environmental quality and resilience if we are ready to embrace climate-forward policies and practices.

Preparing for a Transformative Opportunity

How can metro regions can prepare to take full advantage of federal opportunities to drive long-term investments that benefit all members of the community?

Friday's plenary panel will feature Cincinnati Office of Environment & Sustainability Director, Michael Forrester, Donovan Energy Partner, Andy Holzhauser, Hoosier Environmental Council Executive Director, Jesse Kharbanda, and our keynote, Joan Fitzgerald.

Join us in exploring models for collaboration between federal, state and local governments and business and non-profit organizations’ role in innovation and accountability.
