SUMMARY:Meet A Greenspace Hike with Tri-State Trails and Mill Creek Alliance
DESCRIPTION:Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance\, Tri-State Trails\, and Mill Creek Alliance for a Meet A Greenspace Hike exploring the Lick Run Greenway\, St. Clair Heights Park\, and the Fairmount Avenue Steps\, and their connection to the future Mill Creek Greenway Trail. \nThe hike will take place on Wednesday\, May 6th\, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm\, and we will meet at the main parking lot of the Lick Run Greenway — located at 1661 Queen City Avenue. If the main lot is full\, additional parking can be found along the Lick Run Greenway. \nThe hike will be a moderate to strenuous out-and-back 2-mile hike\, with some steep and difficult sections*. Please dress appropriately\, bring water\, and snacks (if you need them). This will be an opportunity to learn about the history of the area and the vision for the future Mill Creek Greenway Trail! You are welcome to join for the whole hike\, or leave as needed. \n*Please note that Fairmount Avenue Steps include ~300 steps and feature no hand railing. DESCRIPTION:The Tour de CROWN returns on Saturday\, August 23! Organized by Tri-State Trails and presented by Great Parks\, this community bike ride is for all abilities and features existing and proposed trails in the CROWN’s expanding biking and walking network. Riders can choose from three distance options\, all starting and ending at Fifty West Brewing Company\, right off the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Each route includes rest stops and rider support. \nYour registration includes a post-ride burger and beer (for those 21+ or a non-alcoholic beverage) from Fifty West\, plus access to the Tour de CROWN Expo. Best of all\, proceeds from this event benefit Tri-State Trails’ advocacy efforts to improve and connect the regional trail and bikeway network.

This ride includes many on-road sections where the trail network has not yet been completed. \nTour de CROWN 17.5-Mile Route—8:30 am departure: Expand your range and explore parts of the CROWN you’ve never experienced. This ride will traverse the Little Miami Scenic Trail\, Lunken Airport\, Ohio River Trail\, Delta Avenue bikeway\, Wasson Way\, and Murray Path. Portions of this ride are on-road\, where the trail network has not yet been completed. \nTour de CROWN 8.5-Mile Trail Route—9:00 am departure: Enjoy an easy pedal on the Little Miami Scenic Trail down to Great Parks’ Beechmont Bridge and back.
