SUMMARY:GEO Climate Change book Club
DESCRIPTION:The book is “The Ice at the End of the World” by Jon Gertner\, and it was recommended to us by Torrey McMillan\, one of the founders of the Book Club. She read it in preparation for a trip to Greenland\, where she went to hike the Arctic Circle Trail and to see the evidence of climate change there. Torrey did a lot of reading in advance on the ice science\, Arctic cultures and early western exploration of Greenland. She will lead our discussion. Co-hosted by Ohio chapters of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby\, the Book Club will take place virtually on Thursday\, April 11 at 7:00 pm.
