Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub (the Hub) is a growing nonprofit looking to add to our team and expand our organizational capacity. Our mission is to revolutionize how people think about “things” and to provide a place where almost anything can be recycled or reused. We are a dedicated group of staff and volunteers who strive to mitigate the effects of climate change by increasing recycling, reuse and landfill diversion rates in the greater Cincinnati area.
Position: Warehouse Support Staff
About this position: The Hub is seeking a reliable individual who is devoted to the sustainability mission of our organization. The ideal candidate embraces recycling and reuse. A successful candidate is flexible, team oriented, and able to work in a nontraditional warehouse setting. The Hub is a warehouse space that is kept to 62 degrees in the winter and there is no air conditioning in the summer, just fans.
Description: Work with minimal supervision and ability to proactively prioritize work while maintaining a full range of duties such as:
- Baling Plastics – Primary Task
- General help around the warehouse, moving materials, helping with loading trucks, etc.
- Able to lift 40 pounds
- Capability to withstand lots of moving, standing and walking in our warehouse.
- Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as a pallet jack and powered pallet lifter and be trained to use a forklift.
Hours: Hours will be Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 AM – 5 PM and Thursday 10-6. Days off are Sunday and Monday.
Pay Rate: $15/hour. Benefits include PTO and QSHERHA Health Coverage. Note the Hub is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
Reports To:
Warehouse Director for time off requests, changes to weekly hours, timesheets
Warehouse Manager for day to day
Qualifications: In order to be successful in this role, we believe the ideal candidate will have the following characteristics and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Previous experience with a pallet jack and powered pallet lifter is helpful, but not required
