The Ohio River Basin AmeriCorps (ORBCorps) program has been formed to address the issue of poor water quality in Southwest Ohio. Residents are often unaware of the poor water quality and once informed are not really sure how they themselves can have any effect on the problem and the potential solutions. Introducing AmeriCorps members to this area will help expand the education, outreach and data collection efforts to continue to push for cleaner water and better educated residents. At the same time, it will help AmeriCorps members develop skills that will prepare them for employment as a natural resource or water quality professional.
The ORBCorps 2023-24 service year runs from November 6, 2023 – October 2, 2024. The ORBCorps positions are just as varied as the members. Some activities may include education, data collection, marketing, working with volunteers, landowners, residents, students and so much more.
Check out the links below for specific member descriptions. To apply, please click on the button at the bottom of the page. You may apply for more than one position. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and positions will remain open until filled.
Two positions remain open, despite the service year dates. Apply today!
