The goals of the investigations were to identify: the suspected location of a boarding house; a Revolutionary War-era encampment known as “Rowdy Camp”; and to define the boundary of a previously-recorded archaeological site near Osprey Lake. During this presentation\, ARI will share the findings of their 2023 field season and introduce plans for 2024.

This is a problem for the environment because conservation issues require shared understandings of problems and needs. From HOAs to zoning commissions to board rooms\, shared discourse is essential to being an effective citizen and advocate for nature. How can we gain the confidence to engage? \nConversations Ala Cart is a series of three one-hour coaching sessions with information on how you might form a “table group” (think of it as a book club without books). This is a fun and low-commitment way to broaden your social circles in ways that bring substance\, connection and inspiration to your interactions. \nBetween session 2 and 3\, we’ll invite you to think of a few people who might contribute to good dinner conversation about meaningful topics. He will discuss the mechanics of solar eclipses: the how\, when\, and why of eclipses. He will explore some of the mythology surrounding eclipses including a connection to early Ohio history. In addition to the science of eclipses\, Dr. Fischer will outline some of the science discoveries that eclipses have made possible. Finally\, methods for safely viewing the upcoming eclipse will be discussed.

DESCRIPTION:Hamilton County ReSource is offering two grant opportunities for communities\, schools\, non-profit organizations\, and for-profit businesses to reduce landfill waste in Hamilton County. \nThe ReSource Impact Grant is a competitive grant program that can provide up to $100\,000 of funding per project. The deadline to submit grant proposals is April 3\, 2024 \nThe Waste Reduction Innovation Grant can provide up to $15\,000 of funding per project. There is no deadline to apply for this grant; proposals are evaluated as they are received. \nExamples of potential grant projects include:\n• Surplus food rescue/recovery.\n• Composting equipment.\n• Dishwasher and reusable tableware to replace disposables.\n• Programs that address difficult to recycle materials.\n• Multi-family waste reduction. \nRegister to attend the webinar on December 12th at 12 pm\, to learn more about the allowable/unallowable costs\, evaluation criteria\, proposal requirements and reporting requirements.
