DESCRIPTION:Join Green Umbrella’s Greenspace Alliance\, Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance (CORA)\, and The Hillside Trust for a Meet A Greenspace Hike exploring Goltra Preserve — a Cincinnati Mountain Biking Trail and nature preserve. \nThe hike will take place on Thursday\, June 11th\, from 3:00 – 4:30 pm\, and we will meet at the trailhead at the end of Brokaw Avenue (2395 Brokaw Avenue\, Cincinnati\, OH 45225). Parking can be found along Brokaw Avenue. Please ensure not to block the driveways of the community members who live there! \nThe hike will be an easy to moderate\, out-and-back ~1.5-mile hike\, with some steep and strenuous sections. Please dress appropriately\, bring water\, and snacks (if you need them). This will be an opportunity to learn about the organizations that joined together to preserve it\, as well as the multi-modal trail system that we will be hiking. \nThis event is a part of Cincinnati’s inaugural Climate Week and is kid-friendly! DESCRIPTION:Do you give a hoot for Oxbow? Join us for the Give a Hoot for Oxbow – Invasive Plant Removal on Saturday\, June 27th\, 2026\, from 8:00 AM -10:00 AM!\n\nDuring this volunteer day\, we will be tackling one of our biggest conservation challenges: invasive plant species. This event will focus on cutting/pulling honeysuckle\, Japanese chaff flower\, Japanese stilt grass\, and garlic mustard- all of which will later be replaced with native plants\, with a focus on improving wood duck habitat! Register for the event by completing the online form found here.\n\nIn preparation for the event\, here are a few important reminders:\n\n\nPark at the South Entrance of the Oxbow Nature Conservancy:\n\n\nDirections:\nHead south onto Hollywood Blvd. towards the casino.\nUsing the left lane\, follow the casino signs for the “annex receiving”.\nOnce over the levee\, take the gravel drive on the left before the railroad crossing. Follow the gravel road to the parking area ahead.\n\n\n\n\nBring your favorite tools if you have them (we will only have a limited amount of tools for volunteers to utilize\, so feel free to bring your favorite loppers\, pruners\, spades\, gloves\, etc.)\n\n\nBe sure to bring water\, sunscreen\, and bug spray\n\n\nWear long sleeves and sturdy shoes\n\n\nIf you have any questions leading up to the event\, email Jessica Martini at Jessica@oxbowinc.org or contact us at 812-290-2941. SUMMARY:Northcutt: A New Preserve Takes Root
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the opening of Northcutt this summer by helping us get it ready for the public. This new preserve is taking shape\, and we’re inviting volunteers to be part of the process from the very beginning. \nWe will be working on installing gates and signage\, clearing and preparing trails\, and establishing key visitor access areas. Volunteers will also help bring life to the landscape through exciting restoration projects\, including building a rain garden and planting prairie habitat. In addition\, we’ll be creating a designated parking area to welcome future visitors. \nJoin us in shaping Northcutt into a space the community can enjoy for years to come. Register here in advance.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the grand finale of CCPD’s Pollinator Week as we celebrate and explore the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem! Arrive at 8:30pm to set up a spot under the stars for an outdoor movie\, then move through a series of engaging pollinator-themed stations! The movie will begin once it gets dark at 9:30pm. After the movie\, stay for s’mores and a discussion! This screening is free and family friendly- all are welcome.

SUMMARY:RAPTOR Inc. Open House
DESCRIPTION:RAPTOR Inc’s facilities are open to the public during our Open House Events and by appointment only. On the last Sunday of each month (March-November) from 1pm to 4pm our highly skilled educators will be available to welcome guests\, lead tours\, conduct educational programs with our avian ambassadors\, share biological artifacts\, and answer questions. You will have the opportunity to visit various educational stations where you can see and learn about the birds of prey native to our area and the work that RAPTOR Inc. does to protect these magnificent creatures. The Open Houses are FUN and FREE\, but DONATIONS are greatly appreciated! (Private tours and educational programs can still be scheduled at other times by appointment for a fee.)

Together\, these efforts sustain a living example of how thoughtful stewardship can protect and celebrate our region’s natural heritage. \nAll are welcome! It’s a wonderful way to learn about gardening and meet new friends!
