SUMMARY:Fiber Arts Series: Crochet Mushrooms
DESCRIPTION:Registration Requirements: Preregistration required. \nIntended Audience: This program is designed for adults with basic crochet knowledge. Stitches that guests need to be familiar with: chain\, single crochet\, crochet increase\, crochet decrease\, and back loop only crochet. \nProgram Description: Join a Front Desk Naturalist as we take a short hike to look for and identify mushrooms. We’ll then gather in the woods to crochet a mushroom. \nWhat to Expect: Basic crochet knowledge required. Materials provided. Stitches that guests need to be familiar with: chain\, single crochet\, crochet increase\, crochet decrease\, and back loop only crochet. \nThis program is entirely outdoors.\nProgram runs rain or shine. If it is raining\, we will head inside for the crochet portion.\nTrails/areas used during this program are rated as easy (mild hills\, gravel trails) for a planned distance of 0.25-0.5 mile.\nRestrooms are not available on the trails. Restrooms are available at the start and end of the program.\nWhat to Bring: Bring your own 5.5mm hook or borrow one of ours to borrow. All materials will be provided. \nWhat to Wear: Dress for the weather\, as we will be outside. \nWhere to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the map kiosk outside the Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location.
