2023 Candidate Education Night: Regional Sustainability Action

Calling all Mayor, Council, Trustee, and School Board candidates in Greater Cincinnati! Green Umbrella, in partnership with the Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund, presents an educational event about sustainability action and policy for candidates.

Regional sustainability leaders will educate candidates about how mayors, councilors, trustees, and school board can prepare their communities to act, where resources and champions are needed for continued progress, and how to leverage forthcoming state and national funding. The session will also cover how to improve your communities bond rating and the predictability of your budget.

The event is open to all confirmed candidates running for mayor, councilor, trustee, and school board in the following counties: Butler Co. Ohio, Clermont Co. Ohio, Dearborn Co. Indiana, Franklin Co. Indiana, Hamilton Co. Ohio, and Warren Co. Ohio. Candidates are also welcome to register campaign staff as guests. This is not a public event. The event is exclusively for candidates and their staff.

Candidates will be encouraged to develop detailed sustainability platforms to share in an interactive voter resource for fall 2023. Resources and staff will be made available to attendees after the event to support candidates in crafting their platforms prior to the forum.
