Organization: Cincinnati Nature Center
About this event:
Preregistration required for this program designed for adults 21 and older. (ID required.)
Before the fruits and berries of summer have emerged, edible greens peek through the forest floor. Enjoy a food-and-drink pairing like none other, starring these delicate springtime delights. Foraged ingredients like wood nettle and wood sorrel will be front-and-center for this multi-course, tapas-style tasting. Learn about their ecological importance, as well as the complexity of flavors that makes them so great for cooking. Expertly paired drinks will complement each course. Let your plate tell the story of the changing seasons!
There will be appetizers offered at this program, made from a number of locally-foraged and sourced ingredients. While we cannot promise to accommodate every food allergy or dietary restriction, we will certainly try our best. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction that you would like our staff to know about, please email Laura Weinel at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Monday, May 2 at 5:00 pm.
This program designed for 21+; please have your ID available.
This program is designed to be indoors. If the weather is pleasant, we may be able to allow guests to enjoy a cocktail on the porch for part of the program.
Program participants should meet at Krippendorf Lodge at our Rowe Woods location.
Members $35; nonmembers $45 (includes daily admission).
