Join us to hear what is on the minds of local university students working to fight climate change. Students representing six area universities (Cincinnati State, Mount Saint Joseph, Miami University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Cincinnati and Xavier University) will talk about their ideas, hopes, and work to protect the environment now and for the future.

Student panelists:

Drew Brown is a full-time student at Mount St. Joseph University. He always had a fascination for the environment and all living things which has led him to where he is today: a third-year student studying biology, chemistry, and sustainability studies striving to become an ecologist or environmental scientist.
Cassie Conrad (she/her) is a senior at Miami University majoring in Individualized Studies and Sustainability. At Miami, she holds the positions of President of Zero Waste Oxford and Leadership Team member of EcoReps. She is also a voting member of the Student Sustainability Council.
Priya Deshmukh is a senior at Xavier University studying Digital Media. The Xavier Student Sustainability organization cultivated her passion for sustainability, and she is currently one of the co-chairs.
Erin Ford is senior at Cincinnati State Technical & Community College double majoring in Environmental Engineering Technology (EVT) and EVT Water & Wastewater. She is the Public Representative of the Environmental Club as well as the President of the Beekeeping Club on campus.

Delaney Malloy is a second year environmental science major and biology minor at the University of Cincinnati. Delaney works as a Sustainability Advocate for the university, assists PhD and graduate students in their environmental justice research under Dr. Carlie Trott, and is a fellow at the Post Landfill Action Network.

Clare Burke Ravizza is a senior Philosophy, Politics, and the Public student at Xavier University. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Clare serves as the Co-Chair for Xavier’s Student Sustainability Board and as an Intern for the University’s Sustainability Committee.
James “Jimmy” Renton is a sophomore Music Education major at Northern Kentucky University. In 2002, Renton founded the NKY Sunrise Movement hub on NKU’s campus. Since then, he also served numerous roles on campus in organizations such as the Student Government Association, Friends of Dorothy, and Mattingly Brothers Garage: Fine Arts Coalition.
