Description of presentation:

Enriching Spaces achieved the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) distinction of WELL Certified™ Platinum, the 1st WELL Platinum Building in Ohio, and 9th in the nation, and the 1st Cincinnati 2030 District Member to achieve the Health Pillar criteria. With less than 15 employees, Enriching Spaces maximized their employees' engagement, vendor partners, building service providers, and community safety department to meet the challenging requirements. Join Dawn Schwartzman, Enriching Spaces CEO and Yasha Ogg, emersion design WELL AP, for this presentation and tour implementing the 10 WELLv2 evidence-based concepts and the 14 Cincinnati 2030 District Health Optimizations promoting health, safety, and well-being in the indoor and outdoor environments.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize Importance of Healthy Environments

As humans, we spend more than 90% of our time indoors, which has resulted in the built environment having a profound impact on our health and wellness. This segment dives into the current building standards available today, which focus on health as well as case studies from leading organizations quantifying the impact investing in occupants has had.

  2. Where to Focus Costs for Biggest Financial Return

Exploring the Enriching Spaces project, we learn how large and small investments with a focused strategy can yield high returns from air quality to exercise and mental health.

  3. Lessons Learned from Enriching Spaces for the Cincinnati 2030 District Members

Throughout the presentation case study examples will showcase lessons learned for future 2030 District Members to consider when pursuing the Cincinnati 2030 District Health Pillar

  4. Understand the Value of Education

This project provided a tremendous learning opportunity for everyone involved, from the immediate project team to the cleaning crew to the city officials. The eagerness for people to share their knowledge and learn how to make a building healthy for building occupants was a critical piece to the success of this project. We share these experiences with you in this final section of the presentation.
