Join us on Thursday, September 23, for Green Drinks and a choose-your-own outdoor activity as we gear up for Great Outdoor Weekend!

Choose one of these two outdoor activities:

• Option 1 (ENERGY): Join leaders from the Village of Silverton, the IBEW Local 212, HighGrain Brewing Company, Proud Hound Coffee, Paff Electric, and PRO Lighting and Solar to learn more about what one Cincinnati community is doing to meet its Paris Climate Accord commitment. The event will include a walking tour to Silverton’s Town Hall and Proud Hound Coffee, as well as a presentation on the Village’s goals and how private partners are playing a key role in its implementation. Meet at HighGrain Brewing (6860 Plainfield Rd, 45236) at 5:00 pm.
• Option 2 (WATER): Join Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District staff on a walk through Bechtold Park along Cooper Creek to see several of the many ongoing efforts to restore this Mill Creek tributary. Learn about the Cooper Creek Collaborative, a partnership of organizations and community members who have come together to create a multi-faceted watershed project that includes stream monitoring, community education, and multiple stream restoration and stormwater reduction efforts all focused in a 1-square mile 'demonstration watershed' area. Meet at the back of Bechtold Park (4312 Sycamore Rd, 45236) past Shelter #2 at 5:00 pm.

6:00-7:30 pm
Drinks and networking with regional sustainability leaders and passionate residents. In celebration of Great Outdoor Weekend, HighGrain Brewing is releasing a Green Umbrella collaboration beer, made with 300 lbs of peaches gathered at Permaganic EcoGarden in Over-the-Rhine! We can't wait to try this urban peach sour ale, which will be available on tap and in cans.

Thanks to HighGrain for hosting this as one of their "Sustainable Suds" charitable events and donating portion of sales on 9/23 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm to Green Umbrella.
