Join NKU in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with their guest speaker Jennifer Knickerbocker discussing "Indigenous Sovereignty and Native Food Ways".

Jennifer belongs to the Anishinaabeg people from White Earth Nation and an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe from the Ottertail Pillager band. She is an environmentalist, activist, and indigi-feminist working on culturally-based sustainable development issues and decolonization in her community in Yellow Springs, Ohio and her White Earth reservation through Honor the Earth. Jennifer is the former chair of the Advisory Commission on Diversity for the most diverse city in the State of Washington. She is a published nonfiction writer and a radio host for the program, Women of All Red Nations on WCSU FM. Jennifer is the Director of Foundation & Corporate Relations at Antioch College.

Lecture and food demo will take place in the Otto Budig Theatre in the University Center building.
