Organization: Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District

Did you know? Forty percent of all food produced in the U.S. is wasted and most of that is in our homes.

Join Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District for a 45-minute lunch-and-learn to discover how to reduce wasting food in your home while saving money! Participants will leave armed with a "Simple Guide to Preventing Wasted Food" booklet, a fruit and vegetable storage guide, and a kitchen scale (one per household). Learn useful tips on how to plan meals, properly prep and store food, and other great ideas. By eating food instead of throwing it out, you’ll save money and further resources.

Registration is required as seating is limited. Please arrive 15 minutes early with your lunch and a mug for some delicious soup created by La Soupe.
