45th Annual Winter Bird Count

Great Parks is celebrating 45 years of collecting important data on avian trends in Hamilton County, thanks to community efforts! This year’s Annual Winter Bird Count is Saturday, December 9, 2017, at various park locations, followed by a celebration from Noon to 3:00 pm at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve.

Advanced birders are welcome to start at 7 a.m., and beginners at 9 a.m., at the following locations:

  • Glenwood Gardens – meet at Cotswold Visitor Centre 
  • Miami Whitewater Forest – meet at the visitor center 
  • Sharon Woods – meet at Sharon Centre 
  • Woodland Mound – meet at Seasongood Nature Center 

Advanced birders are asked to call ahead to 513-521-7275 to indicate their location(s). Beginners will be lead by Great Parks’ staff and volunteers.
