HIKE FROM FLAGSHIP PARK TO DOE RUN LAKE
On National Take a Hike Day (November 18th), the Kenton County Public Library, the City of Erlanger, Banklick Watershed Council and Kenton County Parks & Recreation invite you to join them for a Hike from Flagship Park to Doe Run Lake.
The event begins at 9:00 am at Erlanger’s Flagship Park for a short pre-hike information session.
The group will leave Flagship at 9:30 am for a guided hike to Doe Run Lake; then enjoy a gathering with a provided, no-cost picnic lunch following the hike at the Doe Run parking area. Information will be available from area nature-related organizations as well. Please note: Rain Cancels.
This is not a “walk in the park.” The approximately 1-mile (each way) mostly-forested trail will be muddy, wet, and rocky in places. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required. Hikers will need to secure transportation from Doe Run back to Flagship, or hike back following the program.
Hikers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All hikers will be required to sign a waiver before hiking. Space is limited. All hikers must register.
