2017 Annual Conservation Tour

Learn about stream restoration, sustainable farming, wetland reclamation, fine wines and ancient mound builders by taking the OKI-Regional Conservation Council's Annual Conservation Tour on Friday, November 3rd. This year's host is the Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District, which has planned the following schedule:

  • 8:30- Registration and refreshments at Marival Clubhouse
  • 9:00am- Tour a stream restoration project completed by Sustainable Streams and the City of Mason in the Marival/Broadview neighborhood in Mason.
  • 9:45am- Leave Marival to drive to EcOhio farm
  • 10:00am- Visit the Cincinnati Zoo's EcOhio farm and wetland
  • 10:45am- Leave EcOhio farm to drive to Valley Vineyards
  • 11:15am- Tour Valley Vineyards Winery 
  • Noon- Lunch at Valley Vineyards
  • 12:45- Leave Valley Vineyards to drive to Fort Ancient
  • 1:00pm- Visit Fort Ancient Archaeological Park museum and tour the prehistoric earthworks
  • 3:00pm- Depart from Fort Ancient
  • The timing may vary slightly as the tour progresses.
