    Help us restore habitat at the lovely Summit Park in Blue Ash! We will be pulling invasive cattails, so expect wet and muddy conditions. Volunteers should wear rain boots or water shoes and appropriate clothing, and should bring gloves and sun protection. We will meet at the tower.

      All are welcome! The day’s work will include clean up, planting, and invasive species removal along the Mill Creek Greenway Trail at the Freedom Tree Edible Forest Garden.

      Parking is tight in the area. Park off old Ludlow by the White Castle (3940 Old Ludlow Ave.) or at Salway Park, where Mill Creek Alliance will be shuttling people to the work site.

      Join Green Umbrella Watershed Action Team members and the Mill Creek Alliance Green Corps for the first Project Mullet rain garden installation of the year - at Roll Hill Elementary (2411 Baltimore Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45225). 

      Thursday, May 16 - Friday, May 17: digging and installing rain garden
      Monday, May 20: planting vegetation in the rain garden

      Volunteers can show up between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Tools and materials will be supplied.

      About Project Mullet:

      In 2018 members of the Watershed Action Team launched Project Mullet, which encourages institutions to adopt low-mow practices and install rain gardens. This year the project will expand to four more schools!

      Cohen is seeking volunteers for our 2019 Reds/PNC E-Waste Recycling Event.  We once again have three (3) locations for our E-Waste Recycling event (including a new location in Hyde Park). We will have Reds tickets, Reds personalities, lunch for volunteers, and plenty of Reds fans wanting to responsibly drop off their E-Waste Recycling materials. Please see below for each time slot and location:

      Come and volunteer with others. Learn about Invasive Plants and help clear our preserves of these invasive species. What’s our habitat restoration all about? It’s one of the most important things we do! If you’ve never done one of these before, we encourage you to join us, as it doesn’t require any special skills.
